Allen Kamoni, age 82, of Pettibone, ND, died Sunday, August 8, 2021, at Lutheran Home of The Good Shepherd, New Rockford, ND.

Allen Burnell Kamoni, was born October 20, 1938, in Woodworth, ND, to Ahmed and Marie (Von Seggern) Kamoni. Allen was raised at the family farm, rural Pettibone and attended School in Pettibone until the Eighth grade. Allen was then expected to work on various farms in the area. He was baptized in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Pettibone.

Allen meet the love of his life and was united in marriage to Ella Vaugh on February 21, 1959, at Congregational Church in Tappen, ND. Allie and Ella were blessed with two children Wayne and Jeanie.

Allie operated his own Drilling company in the Pettibone area. He worked for many of the local farmers drilling water wells for them. He also enjoyed his farming and ranching. The farm held a special place in his heart. When Allie wasn’t working he could be found hunting, fishing and playing cards. Later in life he passed on his drilling knowledge to his son Wayne and always took great pride in coming out to the jobs.

Allie is survived by his loving wife Ella, his two children Wayne (friend Gail Sayler) Kamoni, Lake Williams, ND and Jeanie (Russell) Williams, Pettibone, ND; grandchildren, Casey (Casey) Stangeland, Beau Kamoni, Kelsey Kamoni, Lacey (Chase) Mickelson, James (Jodi) Williams, Shelly (Mike) Dittberner, and Corey Sayler; his great-grandchildren and a sister Wanda Homan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Ahmed Kamoni, four sisters, Annetta Tyron, Della Lee Steele, Virginia Finney, and Dorothy Lock.

 

His Visitation will be Thursday, 5:00PM – 7:00PM, family will be present from 6:00-7:00PM followed by a Prayer Service at 7:00PM all at Evans Funeral Home, Carrington.

Allen’s Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 13, 2021, at 10:00AM at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Pettibone, ND.

His Burial will be at the Pettibone Cemetery at a later date.

  11. To our dearest friends… my family and I are so sorry to hear of the lost of your father, husband, friends. etc…. To be honest, I always thought Allie was sooooo handsome and quick with a smile. My dad, Duane Ziesch, worked for him for years and I guess I was always jealous of the time he spent at his farm instead of ours. Well, my father is welcoming him home to heaven as we speak!! I’m sure they are discusing cows, farming and cards!! Your family will not be forgotten. You are loved… never forgotten.
