Jamie Lovejoy

Jamie Lovejoy, age 47, of St. Michael, ND, passed away Friday, December 7, 2018 at CHI Mercy Hospital, Devils Lake, ND.

Jamie Lovejoy was born August 4, 1971 at Devils Lake, ND, the son of Mary and the late, Francis J. Lovejoy.  He grew up and attended school at Four Winds Elementary and Crow Creek in Stephan, SD.  He also attended Trapper Creep Job Corp where he did heavy equipment operator.  Jamie worked at Spirit Lake Grocery, Spirit Lake Casino and was also a carpenter.  Jamie enjoyed cards, dices, horseshoes, music, casino, family gatherings and spending time with friends.  He has five children, James Lovejoy Jr., Sierra Lovejoy, Shauncina Lovejoy, Harley Lovejoy and Hayden Lovejoy.  He has two grandchildren, Hunter Lovejoy and Zayne Michael Baer.

Jamie is survived by his five children, James Lovejoy Jr., Sierra Lovejoy, Shauncina Lovejoy, Harley Lovejoy and Hayden Lovejoy; two grandchildren, Hunter Lovejoy and Zayne Michael Baer; brothers, Michael T. Jackson, Kieth (Angel) Longie, Gerald (Connie) Longie, Ivan (Lanette) Lovejoy Sr.; sisters, Myrna Whiteshield, Jada Longie, Fanette Lovejoy, Kasey (Brooks) Lovejoy, Ashley (Tylon) Slaughter, Ivy (Paul) Lovejoy, many many nieces and nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary & Francis Lovejoy; Hunter Lovejoy, Benedict Lovejoy, Lucy & Felix Whiteshield, Terrence Guy, Nicole Bear, Dalton Whiteshield, Dillion Whiteshield, Sub Mallard and Issac Mallard.

Visitation:  Wake Service will begin Friday, December 14, 2018 at 5PM, with a Rosary Service at 7:00PM, all in St. Michael Tec Center, St. Michael, ND.

*Friends wishing to join the procession from New Rockford to St. Michael may gather at St. Jerome’s road, prior to 4:30PM

Mass of Christian Burial:  Saturday, December 15, 2018, at 10:00AM in St. Michael’s Catholic Church, St. Michael, ND.

Burial:  St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery, St. Michael, ND in the spring.
