Candice Faye Redroad was born on May 9, 1971, to Trudy Herald and Russell Redroad in Devils Lake, ND.  Candice was raised on the Spirit Lake Nation most of her life.  She enjoyed softball with her family and friends.  Candice went to school at the Little Flower Mission School and Four Winds School.  She worked at the Spirit Lake Casino in different departments.  She lived for a short time in Minneapolis, MN where she met Nedel and had a beautiful girl, Jamela Dama.  She returned to Spirit Lake but made many trips to visit her loving daughter as often as she could with her mother, grandmother and grandfather.  Candice married Roger McKay and lived out her days happily in their home in Ross Acres.  She enjoyed spending time with her many family and friends.  She was very spiritual and attended Sweats and Sundances.  She also enjoyed the Pow Wows.  Candice loved to spend time with her husband at the casino and making unforgettable memories with him where ever they went.

Candice is survived by her loving family, her husband Roger McKay, daughter Jamela Dama, sisters Robyn Ferguson of St. Michael, many beloved aunts and uncles from the Herald family, Littleghost family, Redroad family, Leftbear family and Blueshield family and treasured nieces, nephews and cousins.

Those who left this world before her include her parents, grandparent, sister Kimberlee Redroad and many other dear relatives.
