Eunice Munson

Eunice Munson age 85, formerly of rural Glenfield, died November 24th, 2020 at Golden Acres Manor.  Eunice Elaine Forsberg was born to Jensina and Hilmer Forsberg on July 18, 1935 in her aunt Tillie’s home in McHenry.  She attended Kingsley Township School near Glenfield and graduated from Juanita school in 1953.  She married Merle Munson at McHenry in 1955.

They made their home near Juanita but travelled many summers as Merle worked on road construction all over North Dakota and Montana.  After that she sold Avon and then read meters for Tri County electric for many years.  She then worked at Alco in Carrington where she loved getting to see all the customers.  She was active in ladies aide and Grace Lutheran Church in Grace City.

Eunice moved into Golden Acres Manor in December of 2018.

Eunice loved life, but especially mountains, walking amongst the trees, the full moon and new falling snow.  She also loved playing cards with friends and family and drinking coffee.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren taking walks uptown and having picnics.  She was lovingly nicknamed grandma “meow” from her small grandchildren because of all the cats they had on the farm.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, sisters Janice (Dale) Munson, and Norma Matt, both of Grace City brother in law Tommy (Jeanette) Munson, New Rockford, sister in law Barb Munson, Fargo.  son Clinton (Lu), Hugo, MN. daughter Merdyna (Kevin) Guthmiller, Carrington and daughter Darla, Sioux Falls SD.  Grandchildren, Todd, Monica, Darrick, Mikayela, Tanner, Alleigha, and Alyssa, and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Ninie and Ninie’s husbands Ervin Skundberg and Maurice Brandvold, her brothers in law Duane Matt, and Kenny Munson, and sister in law Connie Munson.

Her Visitation will be Sunday, November 29th, Noon -5:00PM & Monday, November 30th, 9:00AM-12:00PM all at Evans Funeral Home, Carrington.

Her Funeral Service will be held Monday, November 30, 2020 at 1:00PM at Evans Funeral Home, Carrington.
