LaRayne Reimer

It is with great sadness that the family of LaRayne (Jaster) Reimer announces the passing of their dear Mother on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at the age of 93.

LaRayne was born on October 18, 1929 at her parents’ home near Sheldon, ND; to Levi and Francis (Ludtke) Jaster. She was the second of three children.  She attended country school and graduated from Enderlin High School in 1947. She worked for the local dentist in Enderlin before marrying the love of her life, Robert D. Reimer, on June 12, 1949.  They were blessed with 62 years of marriage before Robert passed in 2011. They lived in Fargo, ND the first years of marriage and then moved to Carrington where they raised their four boys. After Bob’s retirement they spent most all of their winters in Arizona enjoying life.  In 2020, LaRayne moved into Golden Acres Nursing Home.

LaRayne was a member of the Carrington Federated Church and a member of the Church guild. She was also a member of the Eastern Star. Her favorite activities were bowling, golfing, playing cards (bridge) with her friends, gardening and hosting friends and family for dinner.

LaRayne is survived by her children, Douglas Reimer, Bismarck, ND, Paul (Christy) Reimer, Carrington, ND and Jeff Reimer, Bismarck, ND and daughter in law Debra Reimer, Bismarck, ND. Grandchildren, Sarah (Tomas) Chavez, Frederick, CO, Nathan (Emily) Reimer, Mandan, ND, Matthew (Tara) Reimer, West Fargo, ND, Angela (Brent) Lucas, Bismarck, ND, Jennifer (Andrew) Cook, West Fargo, ND, Amy (Tanner) Henderson, Mandan, ND, Jared (Nichole) Reimer, Mandan, ND and Chad (Shelbie) Reimer, Bismarck, ND, 16 great grandchildren, brother Eugene Jaster, Greensboro, Pennsylvania.

She was preceded in death by her parents (Levi and Francis), husband (Robert), son (Randy), and sister (Priscilla).

In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to the Carrington Cemetery (PO Box 355, Carrington, ND, 58421) in memory of LaRayne or a charity of your choice in memory of LaRayne.

 

Her Visitation will be Tuesday, June 20, 2023 from 9:30AM-10:30AM followed by a Funeral Service at 10:30AM all at the Federated Church UCC/UMC, Carrington.

LaRayne’s Burial will be at the Carrington Cemetery.

  5. My deepest sympathy to all of LaRayne’s family. I knew her through the Order of the Eastern Star and have great memories of her there. I ‘found’ her again after my mom entered Golden Acres! I am unable to attend her service, but will be there in spirit. May your memories bring you comfort and knowing she is now in perfect health and happy again. Memorial given to OES for the service dog project in her memory.
