Condolences to the family, especially Vicky, Kal, and Stacey. We knew Jim and Patti well, as Jim was my cousin, and I knew Patti in high school. We even hosted them when they visited us in Vienna, Austria while we lived there. We walked all around the city with them!

  10. So sorry for Patti’s immediate family and for all of the rest of her large extended family. In my mind there are so many memories of the entire Butt’s relatives and Carrington, North Dakota. Patti embodied the best of what people could be. She always had time for others and genuinely cared about them (as did Jimmy). Patti was a gem indeed who will be very missed.

  16. To Patti’s family, we are very saddened to hear of your loss. On our last visit to North Dakota in 2021, we spent a wonderful afternoon with Patti in her home. It was wonderful to reconnect and hear family stories. She was so gracious, kind, and welcoming, and as is so traditional in North Dakota, we couldn’t leave without at least a little something to eat. The brownies she shared were wonderfully yummy.

We feel blessed that we were able to see her on that visit.

Our prayers are with you as you celebrate her life.

    Blessings,

    Tom and Nancy Morlock

  18. I just found out about Patti’s passing . Its so hard to see the natural progression of life into death. Patti was one of the people who I remember as always being kind when I was a child . I was a classmate of Stacey’s in elementary school and although many years have passed I do remember Patti and Jimmy with fondness.
The loss of a mother is hard, I’m sending my heart felt condolences. In Christs love.
