Kenda Spottedbird, age 39, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2020 in Fort Totten, ND.
Kenda Louise Spottedbird was born June 19, 1980 to the late Kenneth Spottedbird Sr. and Joyce Peltier in Devils Lake, ND. She was raised in Fort Totten and Brockton, Montana. She attended school at Four Winds School and in Brockton. Kenda was employed at Spirit Lake Casino.
She has a very special bond with her children and she loved being around her sister, three brothers and her two grandchildren, Kyen Spottedbird and Colette Spottedbird. She loved going for walks before her health declined and spending time with her companion, Mike Greywater Jr.
Kenda is survived by her children, Darien Spottedbird, Brandon Spottedbird, Jayden Green, Melissa Green, Cherish Waanatah and Leigh Smith; grandchildren, Kyen Spottedbird and Colette Spottedbird; sister, Tara Spottedbird; brothers, Vernon (Renita) Spottedbird Sr., Kenneth Spottedbird and Kevin Spottedbird; grandfather, Josie Lawrence and family; aunts, Tammy Allery and Delphine Longie, many nieces and nephews, Darin Green and Godfather, Tim McKay Sr.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Spottedbird Sr. and mother, Joyce Peltier; step father, Fredrick Peltier; daughter, Kiara Green; grandson, Wakiyan Ho Waste Baker-Green; grandparents, Josephine Tomahawk, Frank Tomahawk Sr., Viola Spottedbird, Sterling Red Eagle; brothers, Franklin Spottedbird and Kenneth Spottedbird Jr.; sisters, Janel Spottedbird and Karlene Spottedbird; nieces, Julia Diaz and Sharese Feather and many grandmas and grandpas; auntie, Cheryl Tomahawk and cousin, Shayla Ross-Feather.

Private Family Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, May 11, 2020 at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church, Fort Totten.
Burial will be at the St. Jerome’s Cemetery, Fort Totten.
