George Willyard

George Willyard, age 85, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2020, at the Golden Acres Manor, Carrington, ND.

George LeRoy Willyard was born on December 18, 1934, at Edmunds, ND, to Warren and Edyth (Zink) Willyard.  He grew up and attended school in Melville, ND.  He spent six years in the National Guard before he was honorably discharged. 

George was employed by Riemers Seed Farm until he retired in 1992.  He was a member of the Federated Church in Carrington.  George was united in marriage Darlene Bellquist on June 20, 1960, in Cathay, ND.  He enjoyed gardening, fishing and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his two children, Robin Willyard and Troy Willyard both of Carrington, three brothers, Jerry (Arliss) Willyard, Oelwein, IA, Alan (Cynthia) Willyard of Carrington and Jim (Mary) Willyard of Anoka, MN.

George was preceded in death by his wife Darlene, his parents and one brother, Wells and two sons, Glen and Todd.

 

Visitation will be one hour prior to the Funeral Service at Evans Funeral Home, Carrington.

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, November 25, 2:00PM at Evans Funeral Home, Carrington.

Burial will be at the Carrington Cemetery.
